what was bush spending "too much on" to cut taxes? could it be $10 billion a month in iraq? McCain has not explained how he'd keep paying for his 100 year war. Bet it's taxes.

You may not feel abortion is a pressing issue...but you;re not a woman. If Palin becomes Pres. b/c McCain's ticker fails, say bye bye to Roe v exceptions, even for rape or incest. That may not mean crap to you, but there are women all over this country who don't want the Govt. controlling their bodies and turning back the clock to the 19th century.

what's McCain's "energy plan"? He got up in front of a bunch of bikers at a rally in NH and told them to rev up their engines. "What's that sound?", he pandered. "That's the sound of freedom!" He further pandered. As Jon Stewart pointed out: "Uh, no...that's the sound of more of our dollars being pumped into a Saudi Arabian's wallet."

I'll say this one more time: I'm not an Obama-maniac. He would never be my first pick for Pres. I agree he does not have enough experience yet...but McCain does not bring a single fresh idea to the table, I totally disagree w/him on the war...he's a de-regulator (and despite your take on the economy, I think 8 years of looking the other way regulatory-wise has proven to be pretty disastrous....SOME regulation clearly is appropriate).....or have you not read the papers lately?

and his ridiculous choice of a small town mayor who is CLEARLY not ready to be Pres. should McCain (who would be the oldest Pres. EVER if elected and is not in the best of health) kick off, is one of the WORST and most cynical decisions any politican has made in ages....all of this combined with the fact that Joe Biden would at least be VP if Obama gets in and is the best out of all of them...leaves me w/little choice between 2 lousy candidates.

Obama/Biden is a ticket at least closer aligned to my personal belief system, even if it's not exactly what I'd hoped for from the Dems. (and I am NOT a Dem., btw...proudly independent and still waiting for a viable 3rd party candidate.

Ron Paul was the closest I've seen to date to fit that bill.
